Concept is the basic of all, but to be precise, do not, i repeat, do not became too particular with the concept, take the concept up to 50%, if all of your designs stick through the concept, the concept will be 'misconduct' that might 'popped' the client's minds-questions.
Development of ideas will be applied to some of your products that you are going to design on your own, inspiration will be inspiration, an idea will be an idea. Describe your idea as DETAIL as possible, including assembly, construction, materials, measurements, color schemes, and motive. Development of ideas dont need to be so neat or perfect, throw on some sketches on it, dont care if it's nice or not, as long as you deliver the IDEA.
Complete your developments with the final drawing (which the drawing needed to be finalized perfectly, and neatly) name that drawing as CONCEPT ART, that will proper-ize your idea finalization. Do not consider Render as your final touches, you can go for render application through your development of ideas so the lecturers/clients can REALLY SEE your design, and can REALLY UNDERSTAND of what are you going to create. Deliver it as proper as possible. if the lecturers popped you so many questions (common question = "warne ape you nak taruk ni? ni apa ni?) AVOID that question to your designs, good delivery, good product, good satisfaction. Add on all the details of the product including pre-rendering process. (Render comot xpe, asalkan lecturer/client faham design) consider your render markers' your technical instruments cousins too.
